my hero

I sure love Johnny.. Can't wait to spend time with him when I get home! I was raised on his music and he reminds me of everything safe and beautiful about childhood. I used to sit in the laundry basket in the landing of the basement stairs just to be near my dad while he was working down there. He would sing along to Johnny alot, and he never knew I was listening..
I think it's real cute how Johnny says "sorry" in the first video, and how scared to death he looks in the second one. He talks about his stagefright in his biography, so charming..

love the Johnny Cash stuff, thanks for sharing. Didn't hear or know too much about him growing up. He and his wife June were in a 1997 episode of the tv show Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. I just watched it recently (DVD, library). I do remember as a youngster seeing him on my favorite series "Little House on the Prairie" (have a thing for the west and pioneer times if you didn't notice)also with June, in a role as a con man posing as a preacher...Great stuff~

Anne, LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE IS EVERYTHING WONDERFUL!!!!! I wanted to be Laura so bad when I was lit'l. My curly fro/mullet hair never quite cooperated into her braids though. Remember when Laura's friend drowned and the mother kidnapped Laura in her place and kept her in an underground hideaway? Most people look at me with blank stares when I bring that one up. Oh the long Little House discussions we could have.. Carrie, I watched squirrel videos on YouTube for 3 or so hours yesterday, not lying. I have a problem..
